Childbirth Education and Prenatal Childbirth
2008 Class Childbirth Education Classes for 2008 will be held at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital on:

Classes are offered on Saturday's from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Childbirth Education classes prepare the expectant parents for a successful, health and enjoyable delivery experience.
These classes are taught by registered nurses, Candy Mathis, RN, Jolene
Rosenkrans, RN, and Jodi Loecker, RN. These nurses are experienced in
obstetrical nursing as well as experienced mothers.

Start by attending Prenatal Childbirth
Education classes in the 1st or 2nd trimester of pregnancy. This class focuses on prenatal
care, nutrition, exercise, breast feeding, bottle feeding and common discomforts
of pregnancy. These classes will get your pregnancy off on a good start.
Childbirth Education covers topics such as stages of labor, pain management, breathing
and relaxing techniques, postpartum care,
car seat safety, newborn care, immunizations, and a tour of our new Labor and Delivery Rooms.
